چکیده
The complex fragments (or intermediate mass fragments) observed in the low-energy 58Ni+58Ni→116Ba∗ reaction, are studied within the dynamical cluster decay model for s-wave with the use of the temperature-dependent liquid drop, Coulomb and proximity energies. The important result is that, due to the temperature effects in liquid drop energy, the explicit preference for α-like fragments is washed out, though the 12C (or the complementary 104Sn) decay is still predicted to be one of the most probable α-nucleus decay for this reaction. The production rates for non-α like intermediate mass fragments (IMFs) are now higher and the light particle production is shown to accompany the IMFs at all incident energies, without involving any statistical evaporation process in the model. The comparisons between the experimental data and the (s-wave) calculations for IMFs production cross sections are rather satisfactory and the contributions from other l-waves need to be added for a further improvement of these comparisons and for calculations of the total kinetic energies of fragments. Contemporary presence of dynamical and statistical production of intermediate mass fragments in midperipheral 58 Ni + 58 Ni collisions at 30 MeV / nucleon
The 58 N i + 58 N i reaction at 30 MeV/nucleon has been experimentally investigated at the Superconducting Cyclotron of the INFN Laboratori Nazionali del Sud. In midperipheral collisions the production of massive fragments (4≤Z≤12), consistent with the statistical fragmentation of the projectile-like residue and the contemporary dynamical formation of a neck, joining projectile-like and target-...

Structures of non-statistical character, recently observed in 58Ni +46 Ti elastic and 58Ni +62 Ni elastic and inelastic excitation functions, produce damped oscillations in the cross section energy autocorrelation functions. The analysis of these damped oscillations in terms of S-matrix spin and parity decoherence indicates, as a possible interpretation, damping of the coherent rotational motio...

Systematic analysis of 8 B Coulomb dissociation with the Asymptotic Normal-ization Coefficient (ANC) method is proposed to determine the astrophysical factor S 17 (0) accurately. An important advantage of the analysis is that uncertainties of the extracted S 17 (0) coming from the use of the ANC method can quantitatively be evaluated, in contrast to previous analyses using the Virtual Pho-ton T...

The results of experiments performed to investigate the Ni+Al, Ni+Ni, Ni+Ag reactions at 30 MeV/nucleon are presented. From the study of dissipative mid-peripheral collisions, it has been possible to detect events in which Intermediate Mass Fragments (IMF) production takes place. The decay of a quasi-projectile has been identified; its excitation energy leads to a multifragmentation totally des...
متن کاملThe Reaction Entrance Channel and Isotopic Composition of Fragments in a Dynamical and Statistical Multifragmentation Regime
From the study of the Ni+Ni,Ag 30 MeV/nucleon dissipative midperipheral collisions, it has been possible to detect events in which Intermediate Mass Fragments (IMF) are emitted by two different sources with different mechanisms. The sources are: a) a quasi-projectile (QP) (and a quasi-target (QT)), with an excitation energy that leads to multifragmentation totally described in terms of a statis...
